“Show me a family of readers, and I will show you the people who move the world.” — Napoleon Bonaparte

These words are so true. I’m going to share you my story on what changes did reading brought to my life.

Let me get this straight, I’m not a bibliophile but I love to read in my leisure time. And I have started to develop this habit after my college (I’m not a very academic person in my college :) )

Effects of reading:

Improves your creative thinking:

It does improve your creative thinking sub-consciously. You would start to notice this change as time passes.

For example, You read a book or an article about flowers. And the next day you are in need of a perfume and when you get to a store to buy perfume.Your brain sub-consciously connects to the aroma of flowers. But you wouldn’t notice this change at first. But later at a point of time you would slowly start to realize it.

It has a drastic effect on your decision making process:

The books you read reflects what type of person you are. And you would pay more attention to details before making a decision. It makes teases your brain and makes you more attentive before making a choice.

You will be a composed person:

You will be more calm and composed than ever before. Rather than reacting to petty issues which you had reacted earlier, you will now try to find solutions to those issue.

And finally What not ? you will feel relaxed :)

Ways to relax really varies from person to person. But imagine you really had a hard day, you come back home extremely tired and you really feel that you need to sleep to rejuvenate yourself. I’m pretty sure that sleep can also help you to feel relaxed. But instead try to read a book or an article that you love an then go to bed. You will start to feel that you tiredness had reduced by half before going to bed. And I’m pretty sure that you would get a sound sleep.

Please share me your thoughts about this article. And what changes did reading brought to your life. Let us cherish the joy of reading.
